My sister placed a large order for pickup....each of the 5 dinners ordered were prepared to perfection with each needing a different cook on the steaks...the party raved about the dinners and would not hesitate to order again...thank you for your attention to detail and ability to deliver quality food..."

"Because of COVID 19 once a week my boyfriend and I treat ourselves to a meal from Skip the Dishes. Tonight's meal from you was awesome! The price was cheaper than any of the other meals we have ordered and there was more food and better tasting food. We can't wait to eat here in person when the restrictions are lifted. "I had never been to Cottage Canoe before but we held a private family function there this past weekend and our whole family enjoyed the experience a great deal. There is a wonderful friendly atmosphere at Cottage Canoe and the private dining room area is light and bright. The service was exceptionally good, especially for a party of 12 adults and 2 toddlers. The kitchen staff did a wonderful job in making us a delicious Christmas dinner with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables and really good gravy, followed by a choice of pie, all for an amazingly low price. I would highly recommend Cottage Canoe for any casual get together. "

"LOVE cottage canoe! We had my sons first birthday party and everything was perfect ! The staff is amazing and so accommodating and friendly. Right from the start of arranging everything to being there at the party, the staff really make it.. The party room is perfect for events. It was set up perfectly for us and so clean (we were able to have our littles crawl around the floor without any worry!) we actually had my baby shower here as well so we definitely love it. The food is great and good size portions. Thank you cottage canoe! "

"Just had to say what an excellent dinner my friend and I had at your establishment during the holidays. The liver and fried onions were to die for and the deep fried cheesecake was off the charts!!! Your place is not only very welcoming, but well staffed with such wonderful and attentive folks that we are sure to be back again in the near future. So nice to see that in this day and age when customer service is dwindling to such a low level, you have chosen NOT to take that route. Bravo!!"

"We hosted a baby shower on a Sunday afternoon in July 2017; the food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, and did not rush us at all. Everyone enjoyed the food, large size portions ! I would definitely recommend doing an event here and will drop in for any meal when I am in the area."

"Went for breakfast today, had never been before. The food and service were both fantastic. The salmon bene was heavenly! And one of the best cups of coffee I have found at a restaurant. I think we have found our new go to breakfast place. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked superb."

"My husband and I came and tried this restaurant with Barrilicious! The waitress was friendly and knew lots about the menu. The menu was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant was very nice looking for our date night. It was really cold out and with everyone coming in and out I was a little chilled and my only negative thing I would say about this restaurant is if they could turn the heat up a little. We each picked a different appetizer, main and dessert and all were good. We would come back and bring our kids."

"I went to Cottage Canoe on Mother's Day for breakfast. The food was fantastic, and I couldn't have been happier with the service that my family and I received. It was very busy that morning, and the staff did a fantastic job to ensure we were served in a timely manner. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. I know I will be returning!"

"I've eaten at Cottage Canoe for breakfast and lunch many times and have never had anything but great food and service. I meet friends for coffee, attend retirees lunches on a regular basis and will be going there for dinner soon. Many of my friends go there often also, mostly for breakfast on Sunday, and it is quite busy. Lots of parking and a cosy, friendly atmosphere. "

"Recommended by my dental hygienist, Cindy. She had lunch here with her Mom. I went for lunch with my Mom too after getting my teeth cleaned. A good lunch we had deep fried pickles (which were really great) and one of us had the club sandwich the other a Canoe chicken sandwich. Sandwiches were good. I'd go back for those fried pickles again! Friendly and pleasant staff, looked after us well.""

"We've eaten breakfast here several times and haven't had a bad meal. Service is rather slow, though. Even after ordering it takes a while to get your food. This last visit we were the only ones in the place and it still took too long to get our food."

"My husband and I decided to try Cottage Canoe as it was part of the Barrielicious Festival and we were in Barrie that day. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but a few people came in shortly after. Our waitress was extremely polite and very attentive. We ordered a different combination of the the three course meals offered at $20.00 which was on the Barrielicious menu. My husband enjoys trying new foods and was pleasantly pleased with the delicious combination of tastes of his meal. Unfortunately I was under the weather that day but enjoyed what I was able to eat and took the rest home for my husband to enjoy later. The decor was very much in keeping with the restaurant's name and I could imagine it would be very cozy on a cold winter's night with the fireplace on. We will definitely be back to try something on their regular menu."

"Friends Celebrated 63 years of marriage. Salmon Bene, eggs, toast, homemade jam and good coffee. Megan our server was good and the food was delicious. Clean and a nice airy space with comfortable seating. Close to home and lots of parking."
